SYNOPSIS

While his family and his job particularly solicit him, Mathieu, without warning, sinks into the forest and stays there. Faced with this radical takeover and the lack it implies, his family, jostled, will be confronted with themselves and their choices.

François Pirot, leading author of the Belgian cinema, has co-written “Private Lessons” and “Private Property” of Joachim Lafosse, wich writting qualities have pleased both the critic and the public. He has also directed several short films which “Retraite”, multi-award-winning in the most prestigious festivals and broadcast on Arte. In 2012, he gets noticed at Locarno with “Mobile Home”, his first feature film, already produced by Tarantula. After the documentary “Eurovillage”, he is directing his second feature film “Life in the Woods” and a short film “The Fires”.
